Central Valley Middle School Esports Teams Find Success

The Middle School Esports Carolina team won the Beaver Esports Tournament. After losing in the second round of bracket play to a team from South Fayette, they fought their way through the losers' bracket to get to the championship. They then beat the same South Fayette team that they lost to twice to win the championship. By winning the championship, they won a Nintendo Switch 2 (valued at $450) and a Switch case. The winning team consisted of Aidyn Howard, Ben Burnecke, and Liam Haugh.

The Navy team finished third after losing in the semifinals of the winner's bracket to South Fayette, which went on to win the championship, and then losing in the semifinals of the loser's bracket to our Carolina Team. This team consisted of Rhett Servick, Ethan Brown, and Troy Holt.

9 other teams were competing in the tournament (2 from South Fayette, 2 from Beaver, 2 from Aliquippa, 1 from Beaver Falls, and our 2 teams). In the last two years, we won second place, so we finally got over the hurdle!
